Portland Minimum Temperature Streak of ≥60° Ends

With a minimum temperature of 59° this morning at the Portland Airport (PDX), Portland’s third-longest streak with minimum temperatures of ≥60° came to an end at 17 consecutive days. This came close to the all-time record of 19 days ending on 8/1/1998, also recorded at PDX. Here are the Top-5 longest streaks for Portland stations located downtown and at the airport:

Note – the latest streak at the airport has not been matched by the current downtown location at KGW-TV as it has recorded numerous minimum temperatures in the upper 50s during the same time period.

  1. Very cool Jeff! Thanks for keeping tabs on this… I knew temps were above 60 degrees for a while but had no idea this was some sort of record. I’ll share this with the folks at PGE!
