TEMPERATURES Mean Temperatures were slightly below normal this month; Average Maxima were actually noticeably cooler than average (about 4°) but were balanced by milder-than-normal Minima. It was a typical September in that the warmest weather occurred at the beginning and mostly gradually cooled as the month progressed.
