On March 14th, the maximum temperature here in Happy Valley reached 61.2° under full sunshine, the first reading ≥60° since Nov. 4, 2018 – that is 130 days in between readings of that value. It was also the warmest temperature since 61.5° on Nov. 2, 2018. Over the next few days there is a chance we could even peak at 70°, a pinnacle we have not reached since Oct. 18, 2019 when it was 70.3°. And, not that we’re even close to attaining 80° but, for your information, the last reading at that level was back on Sept. 28, 2018 when it soared to 83.3°. Spring suddenly appears much closer after such a cold, snowy February and first half of March.
