HAPPY VALLEY, OREGON, WEATHER: SEPTEMBER 2018
TEMPERATURES
It was a fairly warm start to the month as maximum temperatures reached above 70° through the first 10 days, with 4 of those days being ≥80°, and one peaking at 90°, the only such occurrence this month. From the 11th-24th, Maximums didn’t vary much at all, hovering in the mid 60s to low 70s each day, until a brief warm-up from the 25th-28th saw readings around 80°, cooling to the mid-to-upper 60s on the final two days of the month. Minimum Temperatures ranged only 12.9° through the month.
PRECIPITATION
The only fairly significant rain event occurred on the 11th-12th as 0.75″ was recorded (the most since June 8th-10th when 1.12″ was measured). In the three-month period, June 11th-Sept. 10th, a total of only 0.48″ was observed so this was a welcome amount. Four other minor events occurred this month but all were <0.20″. For the calendar-year ending Sept. 30th, the annual total is now at 23.48″. We will have to have quite a wet final three months to even get to normal.
