TEMPERATURES As happened in May 2019, this month was also topsy-turvy as the first half was warmer than the second half, mostly due to brief record heat. TEMPERATURES May 2019 averaged several degrees above normal, mostly due to much-above-normal temperatures through the first 13 days; all but two days were in the 70s and 80s during this period. In contrast, 13 days remained ≤70° from the 14th-31st. Daily Maxima ranged only 15.0° during January, Daily Minima 14.9° as the monthly Mean Temperature ranged only 9.2°.
